The features and benefits of modular construction have increased its popularity for the past five years. These benefits include environmental friendliness, fast & safe construction, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility.

The Modular Building Institute says, “Modular construction is a process in which a building is constructed off-site, under controlled plant conditions, using the same materials and designing to the same codes and standards as traditionally built facilities – but in about half the time.”

Environmentally friendly

The construction industry alone is responsible for almost 39 percent of the world’s carbon emissions. Most of this is from the ineffectual transportation of labor, equipment, and materials to the building site. One of the benefits of modular buildings is reduced carbon emissions by eliminating most transportation needs since everything takes place in a factory.
