VisionAries Lonn Elzey serves as a dedicated Sales Associate at Aries Buildings, specializing in the leasing and sales of mobile offices. Based in LaPlace, LA, Lonn has been with Aries for over two years, gaining valuable insights into the competitive nature of the modular building and construction industries. Through his work, he has learned that building strong customer relationships is often the key to success, even in high-stakes, multi-million-dollar projects where every detail counts.
“My favorite part about working for Aries is learning the ins and outs of the modular building industry, as well as getting to know the customers and their needs.” – Lonn Elzey
Where did you work prior to Aries; was it in the same industry or something totally different?
Before coming to Aries, I worked for 5 years as the operations manager of a high school sports live streaming platform. Prior to that, I was a high school teacher and football coach for 24 years.
When you’re not at work, what would we find you doing?
I enjoy watching sports on television, working on projects around the house, and spending time with my family—especially with my kids.
Tell us about your hometown?
I grew up in River Ridge, a small suburb of New Orleans, where I currently reside. It is very quiet, almost a country feel.
Also tell us about your family and children, if any?
I have been married to my wife Michelle for over 21 years. She is a District Sales Manager for U.S. Foods. We have 2 children—Reid (19), who is a sophomore at the University of Alabama, and Brooklyn (17) who is a senior in high school and will be attending Alabama in Fall 2025. I also have a son from my first marriage, Bryce (33), who lives in California.

What would your perfect day consist of?
A perfect day would be hanging out in Tuscaloosa with my family on a Saturday home game day, tailgating for the game at our son’s fraternity house. Roll Tide!
What sets Aries apart from other companies that deliver the same exact things?
Although we are a national company, I feel that because we are a much smaller company than our competitors, we are able to bring a more personalized approach to the interactions with our customers. When needed, our team is just a phone call away.
What do you hope to bring to Aries in terms of leadership and company culture?
Having been an educator and a coach, I have a great attention to detail as well as knowing how to develop a team culture, which is extremely important. Nothing can be accomplished without everyone working together towards the goal of providing a great product to the customer.
If you weren’t working for Aries, what job would you probably have?
I would probably still be involved in high school athletics in some way, shape, or form. However, I’d also like to be retired!
What do you think the future holds for Aries?
The future is bright for Aries. We have a great team of people. Our team is committed to growing the brand and showing future customers that not only are we are good at what we do, but we are there for them to fulfill their needs.
What feedback do you often hear from clients in your area, and how does Aries exceed their expectations?
When speaking with our clients, it always goes back to two things: our quality products and services and the ease of working with our team and vendors. Throughout the entire lease process, from the signing of the lease to the end of the lease term, we are there for the client.
What unique challenges does your location (LaPlace, LA) face, and how does Aries Buildings address them?
With the branch only about two years old, our local inventory started very small. As we have grown our customer base and needed more inventory, our great team throughout the South has always gotten trailers to where they need to be in order to fulfill our customer’s needs.
