Mountain climber helping another to the mountain summit with the words “Believe in Greatness” above the Aries Residence Suites burgundy ram head logo.

As a leader in workforce housing, we have learned that challenge is our best teacher, and without it, you will never realize what you can become. Influence is not a quality that people are born with. Great leadership is earned through hard work, diligence, and integrity. Life delivers a full experience of good and bad, and failure is part of the deal. At Aries, we meet the unexpected head-on, because we understand it is through meeting challenges with greatness that we earn our reputation as a leader in the modular building & workforce housing industry.

How Aries Handles Challenges

In the face of overwhelming odds or critical failures, it’s easy to lose sight of your aspirations, but the charismatic leaders we admire throughout history don’t give in to that temptation. They work to overcome any challenge, as this excellent Inc. article “7 Challenges Courageous Leaders Overcome” by Jason DeMers describes. From Steve jobs to Oprah Winfrey, from Albert Einstein to James Dyson…all faced ridicule, rejection, and disaster before earning their rewards.

Thankfully, our company is “over the hump” when it comes to establishing itself as force to be reckoned with in the modular building industry, but what about the inevitable daily challenges of building and running workforce housing facilities throughout the US & Canada? What happens when things don’t go as planned?

Recently, a younger guest checked into Aries Residence Suites in Watford City, North Dakota after hours. A new office employee accidentally checked the guest in to a room that was being addressed for maintenance issues. Unfortunately, the guest discovered the maintenance issues as they were talking on the phone with their mom, who immediately became worried, as good moms do. Mom wrote an immediate email, in addition to calling the workforce housing camp directly.

The result of this error was, of course, getting the guest into another room. However, it was the accountability and kindness exchanged between two human beings that proved most meaningful:

(Dear Guest's Mom) Thank you for your response back to me today. It is greatly appreciated that you took the time to inform us and I have inspected that room personally today. If you ever need to contact us again, please feel free to reach out to me directly. I will be happy to help in any way that I can and I want all our guest to be happy and safe! Thank you again for your email and time! Warm regards, Zonda Baird, Property Manager, North Dakota Aries Residence Suites

When asked about the incident, North Dakota Property Manager Zonda Baird simply replied, “It’s what we do. The bottom line is providing good service, period. It’s how well you do or how well you don’t do that sets you apart. People compare different facilities. We build trust by delivering a good experience no matter what.”

And so it continues, day after day, in North Dakota, Texas, Oklahoma, all the way into Canada’s workforce housing facilities. Meeting challenge with greatness one person at a time. If things were constantly perfect, we wouldn’t have the opportunity to show others exactly what we’re made of.
