Your formal title at Aries: HR Admin & Payroll

Your job duties & responsibilities: All HR, admin, and payroll related duties, and then some, including: Handling payroll for all branches of the Aries company, completing background checks and scheduling drug tests for new employees. I also listen to and address complaints and any other miscellaneous issues that arise. And, I prepare monthly quality control reports for all of our building locations.

How long have you been at Aries? 10 years.

Where did you work prior to Aries; was it in the same industry or something totally different?   I worked at our plant in Houston (it was a different company at that time). The business was still modular-based. Before that, I built car parts, steering wheel casings and other parts, at a rubber company. I’ve always been in the building industry.  I grew up digging septic tanks and digging out basements for people who moved into homes and wanted basements added, post move-in.

When you’re not at work, what would we find you doing?  Right now, the only thing I have time for is reading! I really like suspense novels. I also like doing crafts (a lot!) when I have the time.

Mary’s Critters

Hometown? My hometown is in Michigan.

Family, children? I have 3 kids who live in Michigan and a bunch of grandkids!

What would “your perfect day” consist of? My perfect day would be made up of my favorite hobbies: crafts, sewing, making blankets for my grandchildren, etc.

What’s your favorite part about working for Aries so far?  I get to stay busy. I am not one for sitting still for long, and working for Aries keeps me going!

What sets Aries apart from other companies that deliver the exact same things?  Aries sincerely cares about their products and the quality. We don’t want anything to be cheaply made. We do what is necessary to make sure our products last.

What do you think the future holds for Aries?  I think Aries will be around and making quality products for many years to come!
