2017 brought unprecedented hurricane destruction to North America. From Houston to Puerto Rico, the storms caused severe flooding and power outages, leaving thousands homeless and infrastructure in disarray. Even today, almost a year later, the recovery efforts are still in progress as these communities work to rebuild their lives.

During these trying times, Aries worked to be of service and provide affordable emergency modular buildings, classrooms, mobile offices, and other temporary building solutions to businesses and government agencies in need of temporary facilities. Though we hope for a calm hurricane season this year, Aries is prepared to provide these types of emergency modular buildings again if necessary.

What to expect this season

We are approaching the most dangerous time-frame of hurricane season which typically runs June 1st through November 1st, with the peak falling between mid-August to late October. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center predicts “a 70 percent likelihood of 10 to 16 named storms with winds of 39 miles per hour or higher. Five to nine of those could become hurricanes, with winds of 74 mph or higher, and one to four could develop into major hurricanes, which have winds of 111 mph or higher,” (New York Times). While time will only tell if these storms manifest, regardless, it is important to mentally and physically prepare for the potential damage.

What emergency modular buildings provide for hurricane relief

After any natural disaster one of the most valuable resources is time. The ability to provide immediate solutions is extremely important for people’s safety, health, and overall well being. Emergency modular buildings provide a very quick solution in often frantic times and can give people the necessary shelter they need to begin to rebuild. With short delivery and installation time, emergency modular buildings help drive quicker recovery.
